Community Skateboarding Competition
Taking place on May 23rd 2026 at Mike Fann Community Skate Park (142 N. Arizona Ave.) from 12:00pm - 6:00pm, BBSJ is a FREE-to-attend community-focused skateboarding competition designed to celebrate local riders, creative culture, and accessible recreation. Less of a tour-level contest and more of a participation-forward jam with light competitive structure, judged runs, and open sessions.
Featuring organized skateboarding heats, open free-skate time, food vendors, live DJ, event merchandise; and a focus on youth engagement, recreation, and community participation.
GOOD TO KNOW:
Audience: Open to the public. All ages welcome. Youth-focused event with adult supervision on site.
Cost: Free to attend. $10 pre-registration for competitors ($20 day-of).
Alcohol: No alcohol served or permitted.
Vendors: Food vendors and a small number of pre-approved, skate-related vendors only.
Other Concessions: Limited event merchandise only (shirts, stickers). No other retail concessions planned.
Safety & Operations Notes:
• Event staff and volunteers on site
• First aid station available
• Clear pedestrian flow and emergency access routes maintained
• Event operates during daylight hours only
